Blue Ridge Overland Gear was started back in 2012 because our founder, Matt Akenhead, was trying to organize his own off-road gear. To this day most of our products are designed and developed with the same process: solve a personal problem or resolve some frustration related to camping, overlanding, general outdoor, or EDC gear.
Sometimes we will look at other bags or gear organizing solutions on the market and decide we can do it better - or we want features that other companies haven't quite dialed in. And because we are all about building modular, easily customizable products, that alone motivates us to start designing something new.
For the past several months Matt has been working on the design and development of several new products including a new versatile X-PAC Chest Pack. We won't say a whole lot about it yet but we wanted to give you a sneak peek.
