Overland Trail Etiquette - Part 2: Awareness

Sep 3, 2020by Dean Shirley

In this video we continue our discussion on overland trail etiquette and this time we focus on best practices for situational awareness.

With a foundation built from the Stay the Trail program we discuss issues like staying on the trail and mitigating damage to surrounding areas by not taking by passes. We also look at yielding in a variety of scenarios ranging from on trail traffic with smaller vehicles, hikers, bikers, and horses, as well as who has the right of way when on a hill.

Make sure to watch the entire video and see how you can not only improve your next outdoor adventure but also the experiences of the people and wildlife you encounter.
