The original Ford Bronco was released in the 1960's and 70's. It wasn't long before it was known as an iconic off-road vehicle that could also hold it's own as a daily driver. Like it's Jeep competitor, the Bronco rose to status as a cultural icon and production continued in different forms up until the late 1990's, when the line was retired amidst changing automotive trends.
Fast forward to 2021 and the Bronco was reborn, DNA intact, as a rugged off-road rig with street comfort to boot - plus a new suite of modern features. Ford's resurrection of the Bronco line coincides with growing interest in off-road travel and mainstreaming of overlanding in the U.S. As Americans turn up the heat on their love for the great outdoors, car manufacturers seem to be matching the demand with more rugged SUVs, and trucks - and now with an electric, more efficient twist across the board.
